Not. A Good. Day.
Yesterday, overnight, I seemed to have contracted some sort of DISEASE that has left me utterly bedridden and consequently, today I took the day off and stayed at home trying to recuperate. Today has been the most unproductive day this month so far. (However, I did try to pretend to be philosophical by sitting in the garden and basking in the heat whilst reading aimlessly). Towards the afternoon however I did try to tackle a problem I had been facing in the visual novel. I want the player to have an option where they can enable and/or disable swearing. If they did this then the swearing that was evident before would have a substitute. However jedit refused to work with me and I am not sure how exactly I can get over this problem. My forte is Javascript however the jedit engine (Which is supposed to be Java) Isn't complying with my knowledge.
Personally, I am not a big fan of swearing, but I know that for some people- swearing is an effective way of conveying emotion, so the game may be more atmospheric if it could relate to some people at a deeper level. I've included a picture of the mediocre code anyway just to show everyone that I'm not sitting on my bottom all day ordering people around (And also if you have any idea how to fix this, please get in touch).
Yes, I lose motivation a lot more times than others, however I have so many people relying on me, and I am relying on too many people to all of a sudden let them down by saying, "I'm discontinuing this project" after all of the effort they have put in to make it happen. Nonetheless, after that failed to work I looked at the game trailer I had made and then realised I hated it and wanted to change it. So- I made a whole new trailer, which lagged my whole PC for an hour before a nice message came up saying it refused to render. Admittably it was on a high rendering setting, but a few minutes ago I rendered it again and so far it has been performing smoothly. Huzzah. 16:37 - Rendering complete. Time for checking for errors and if all is swell, I will upload it as the first video for Switch's youtube channel. 16:37 - I give up trying to make trailers. Here - take a look for yourself and leave comments if the video really compels you. Music contributed by one of our fellow musicians - Joshua Artavia. Sound Effects edited onto the track by yours truly and made by freesound.org. Oh. Would you look at that- I can't upload big files or put videos on my website until I upgrade Weebly. Shame. I do not think that the video is good quality enough to put onto youtube. Great. Totally productive day! (Let's see if I can find a way around this with my limited HTML knowledge) 17:02 - Tried... Quality came out terrible because I uploaded to Tinypic but you can always visit the Donate page and donate to the site so we can upgrade the site :). Until next time, Switch Currently working on:

Wow! I hope you get better!! The trailer looks awesome so far, by the way! The only thing I have to comment on is that you might want to explain what "Imagination" means in your novel.

Haha, thanks. I try. Thanks for your wishes too I'm still stuck in bed. Quietly programming in the dark with a blocked nose but I'm alive.

It is ok don't feel down. We all have those days where things don't go well but you don't need to feel upset about yourself. No need to stress ! Just focus on what you can do right now . I really wish I could help in any way but I'm probably not fit for this. I really don't know how it works or if it is possible but I was thinking that people would be more eager to give money if they can get something in return. Well take care of yourself and don't push yourself too much we are all here supporting you !

Thank you so much for your support. I just logged into my email and saw this notification (Which was somehow in French, but I managed to translate it with my limited French knowledge and my love for the language) and I felt so happy that there are actually some people out there supporting me. Thank you so much. I managed to overcome that particular problem... However... I'm still facing a few more.
